About

I started my adventure in the music industry at 19 touring the United States with the roots rock band Dear Liza. I’m not completely sure but I believe we logged over 1,100 + shows over a 4 year period. While I was on the road opening for Blues Traveler in 1996 I was taught a valuable lesson from Bobby Sheehan who was the original bassist for Blues Traveler. (God rest his soul...) “If you expect success to happen to you it more than likely won’t. If you sit around your hometown then you’ll turn 50 tomorrow. You have to tour and play until you feel like you can’t play anymore, until your skin literally tears. Success will happen when you least expect it so don’t pray for it...get in the van and earn it!” It was the way he said it that had an impact..and it pushed me to devote my 20’s to playing live. I was fortunate enough to cut my teeth at an early age and tour most of the United States with a variety of talented players. This adventure gratefully lead me to do some noteworthy work as a session bassist as well as the privilege to tour and play live with some incredible musicians along the way. I enjoy the studio just as much...if not more than playing live. While they are both different artforms, they both allow me to express myself in a way that comes completely natural. I will be updating the Projects Page periodically to share some of my current projects.
